We provide a variety of customized fitness, nutrition, and lifestyle coaching programs for individuals and small groups. Our individualized programs are designed specifically to address your personal goals for wellness.
Yoga is a physical practice which increases awareness of the body through breathing while improving flexibility and strength. The benefits of yoga are becoming more widely recognized not only from a physical standpoint but also include a better understanding of our bodies inside and out. Yoga instruction includes customized application of yoga therapy principles for individual health concerns. As well, yoga classes are offered, designed for small groups focusing on various forms from restorative to traditional to more energetic flow practices. Yoga sessions are led by a Yoga Alliance™ Registered Yoga Teacher.
Pilates focuses on enhancing stability of the core while increasing strength and mobility of the joints of the body; Pilates can be said to "build strength from the inside out". This approach to fitness is very therapeutic in improving range of motion, overall body posture and ease of movement. The Stott™ Pilates approach is accessible to any person regardless of current fitness level. Pilates instruction includes individual and small group mat classes based on the Stott™ Pilates approach. One-on-one and duet appartus sessions are offered on Stott™ Rehab Cadillac/Reformers, Split-pedal Stability Chairs, Ladder Barrel and other equipment by Stott™ Pilates certified instructor.
Functional Fitness Training incorporates the use of weights to develop strength and endurance while challenging the body through movements which incorporate full range of motion and simulate daily activities. This training method includes cardio-respiratory endurance improvement through the use of Burst training on the X-iser™ as well as other forms of cardio equipment. Strength development is achieved cable-based strength training equipment and incorporating the use of free weights, stability & weighted balls, bands, etc. Customized workouts are developed by our NBFE/NASM/ISSA certified personal trainer/fitness coach based on clients’ individual goals.
Nutrition & Lifestyle Coaching connects the benefits gained through the commitment to physical activity with the choices we make in our daily lives. Through a comprehensive fitness evaluation, including total metabolic testing, our certified fitness coach will help the client identify areas of their eating and living patterns which impact their ability to achieve wellness and fitness goals. Based on the client’s goals, a detailed plan of action is developed to direct the client towards making incremental changes in their life that support their vision of health/wellness.
